Why fit an EP rectifier guard?
Regulators/rectifiers are designed and positioned to benefit from the static and passing airflow that cools this important electrical unit. Unfortunately, a regulator/rectifier is also ‘open’ to damage from road debris. The KTM 990 Duke EP protector is designed to protect the delicate aluminium housing and cooling fins of the regulator/rectifier by preventing stones, grit and other road debris from causing damage - usually breaking them. This results in corrosion and water ingress, which inevitably leads to failure of the unit.

If you fit it yourself, please make sure that your motorbike is secure and that the product is only intended for your motorbike. The models for which the product is tested and intended can be found with each item.
To avoid damage to your motorbike during installation, we recommend covering all important/sensitive parts.
Please understand that we cannot accept any liability for consequential damage caused by improper installation.
When fitting, use threadlocker if possible and observe the torque specifications.
There is no ABE/parts certificate for Evotech Performance accessories. If you have any concerns, you should refrain from buying them. In some cases, bolts for fastening must be replaced with the original bolts. Legally, this could be a problem. We would like to point this out.
