Why fit an EP rectifier guard?
The regulator and rectifier are designed and positioned to benefit from static and moving air, which cools this vital electrical component of the motorbike. Unfortunately, this also makes the regulator and rectifier susceptible to damage from road debris. The EP guard for the KTM 990 RC R has been developed to protect the sensitive aluminium housing and cooling fins of the regulator/rectifier by preventing stones, sand and other road debris from causing damage. The consequences of this would be corrosion and water ingress, which would inevitably lead to the unit failing. The specially developed Evotech rectifier guard can be fitted precisely to the existing mounting points and, thanks to its factory-designed shape, conforms to the contours of the motorcycle.

We recommend that you always consult a specialist workshop when installing our products or have this work carried out by a specialist. If you fit it yourself, please make sure that your motorbike is secure and that the product is only intended for your motorbike. The models for which the product is tested and intended can be found with each item.
To avoid damage to your motorbike during installation, we recommend covering all important/sensitive parts.
Please understand that we cannot accept any liability for consequential damage caused by improper installation.
When fitting, use threadlocker if possible and observe the torque specifications.
There is no ABE/parts certificate for Evotech Performance accessories. If you have any concerns, you should refrain from buying them. In some cases, bolts for fastening must be replaced with the original bolts. Legally, this could be a problem. We would like to point this out.
