Ducati Streetfighter V4 Crash Protector Set with RED Screw from Evotech Italy
The new Evotech anti-shock crash pads have been designed and manufactured with the aim of absorbing the impact in the event of a fall. This means that the impact is absorbed by the slider and does not act directly on the frame. In the event of a fall, the slider is pressed onto a specially designed spacer with an increasing diameter. This causes the slider to deform, reducing the energy caused by the impact.
Technik Info
Tests conducted both under laboratory conditions and on the road showed a significant decrease in the load transferred to the frame compared to standard crash pads.
The slider of the crash pad is made of a plastic compound containing glass fibre.
It combines high shock absorption and abrasion resistance with low friction on the asphalt.
In this way, the pad slides on the asphalt without excessive wear or dangerous blocking.
The aerodynamic shape of the crash pad not only gives the motorbike a more aggressive look, but also reduces the possibility of the slider catching on an obstacle on impact.
The plastic pads are also engraved with a graduated scale that gives an indication of impact resistance in the event of a crash.
The main part of the crash pad is made of aircraft-grade billet aluminium and is finished in a black anodised coating for durability.
Both the diameter and cross-section are intricately calculated to further reduce the stress on the frame in the event of a crash.
Evotech supplies spare parts for each product.
In addition to the shock absorption function, controlled failure points have been included in this kit for large impacts.
In this extreme situation, the system collapses on the central bolt section, which tends to bend. This happens at the connection point between the main body and the bushing. Therefore, a technopolymer bushing has been supplied to protect the frame. We recommend a tightening torque of 90/95 Nm. Apply grease during fastening and if possible stabilise the motor with a lifting device.
